I had an enormous breakthrough working on my house this week. I have had the tub from H-E-(double hockey stick) and the drain was locked/wedged in place. I used a drain key , huge pipe wrenches, and lots of brute force–no luck. People kept telling me to be careful and tread lightly so as to not crack to tub.

Enough!!! I talked to my little old man/plumber friend and he suggested PB Blaster (a solvent) and a torch or a sawzall.

I took out the sawzall and cut into the side of the drain (carefully) and snapped everything out. I just had to go for it and throw caution to the wind. Sometimes you just have to go for it!

Yesterday was a great day. I busted out the tub drain, installed 5 smoke detectors, and installed a 3-bulb bathroom light in the master bath. What a great and productive day.

Boldness has magic in it!!!
